5. Timing Precision & Disclaimers

While Stopwatch for Study utilizes precision wall-clock synchronization (`Date.now()`) to prevent timing drift, web browser background throttling, power saving modes, or hardware device sleep can occasionally alter tick execution intervals. The Service is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. Stopwatch for Study shall not be held liable for missed test deadlines, academic penalties, or timing discrepancies in high-stakes examination settings.

6. Local Storage & Data Loss Disclaimer

Because all session data is stored client-side in your device's localStorage, clearing your browser history, using incognito/private windows, or device resets will erase your study streaks and logs. We strongly advise students to regularly use the "Export CSV" or "Export JSON" feature to back up important academic focus records.
